Introduction
This Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement is a response to Section 54(1), Part 6 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and relates to actions and activities for the financial year ending 31 December 2022.
 
Luv2sleep Limited ('we','us' or 'our') is committed to preventing slavery and human trafficking violations in its own operations, its supply chain, and its products. We have zero-tolerance towards slavery and require our supply chain to comply with our values.

We operate in the Manufacturing sector. The nature of our supply chains is as follows: Raw material, Import Bedding, duvet covers, sheeting, bedspreads, Towels.

Our suppliers are expected to comply with this principle and take active steps to prevent modern slavery in all aspects of their operations.
Employment Practices: Our code of conduct emphasizes fair and ethical employment practices.
Suppliers are required to uphold fundamental labor rights, provide safe working conditions, and ensure fair wages and benefits for their workers. Forced labor, child labor, and any form of involuntary servitude are strictly prohibited.
Transparency and Traceability: We expect our suppliers to provide full transparency and traceability within their supply chains. This includes disclosing information about their own suppliers and ensuring that all parties involved adhere to the same high standards. Suppliers must have mechanisms in place to identify and address any risks of modern slavery.

Whistle blowing policy – Our Whistle blowing Policy is designed to achieve the following objectives:
Encouraging Reporting: We actively encourage all employees, suppliers, contractors, and other stakeholders to report any suspicions, concerns, or instances of modern slavery. We recognize that their vigilance and willingness to speak up are essential in uncovering and addressing potential risks.
Protection and Confidentiality: Our policy ensures that whistleblowers are protected from retaliation or victimization. We maintain strict confidentiality throughout the reporting process, safeguarding the identity of the whistleblower to the fullest extent permitted by law. We encourage individuals to come forward without fear of reprisal.
Reporting Channels: We provide multiple reporting channels to accommodate the preferences and comfort of whistleblowers. These channels may include a confidential hotline, email address, or a designated person within the organization who is responsible for handling reports. We ensure that these channels are easily accessible, well-publicized, and actively monitored.
Investigation and Response: Once a report is received, we promptly initiate a thorough and impartial investigation. Our dedicated team, comprising individuals with appropriate expertise, carefully examines each report, gathering relevant evidence and information. Staff code of conduct –
Our Staff Code of Conduct focuses on the following key principles and expectations:

Procurement policy –
 Our Procurement Policy is designed to achieve the following objectives:
Supplier Evaluation and Selection: We conduct a thorough evaluation of our suppliers to ensure their commitment to ethical practices. We consider factors such as their policies on labor rights, human trafficking, and modern slavery, as well as their track record in adhering to these standards. Suppliers who do not meet our requirements are not considered for collaboration.
Supplier Code of Conduct: We have a Supplier Code of Conduct that outlines our expectations regarding ethical practices, labor rights, and the prohibition of modern slavery. We require our suppliers to sign and comply with this code, demonstrating their commitment to preventing modern slavery within their own operations and supply chains.
Supply Chain Transparency: We prioritize supply chain transparency and traceability. We work closely with our suppliers to gain visibility into their supply chains and ensure compliance with our anti-slavery standards. We encourage suppliers to map their supply chains, identify potential risks, and take proactive measures to address any issues related to modern slavery.
Due Diligence: We conduct due diligence to identify and assess the risks of modern slavery within our supply chain. This includes ongoing monitoring, site visits, audits, and engaging with third-
party organizations to evaluate compliance with our ethical standards. We work closely with our suppliers to address any identified risks and implement necessary corrective actions.
Collaboration and Capacity Building: We actively collaborate with our suppliers to promote responsible practices and enhance their capacity to prevent modern slavery. This includes providing guidance, sharing best practices, and facilitating training programs to raise awareness and build their capabilities in identifying and addressing modern slavery risks.

Continuous Improvement: We are committed to continuous improvement and regularly review our Procurement Policy to ensure its effectiveness in preventing modern slavery. We stay informed about emerging trends, legislation, and best practices related to modern slavery and adjust our policies and procedures accordingly. We make sure our suppliers are aware of our policies and adhere to the same standards.

Due Diligence
As part of our efforts to monitor and reduce the risk of slavery and human trafficking occurring in our supply chains, we have adopted the following due diligence procedures:

Our due diligence procedures aim to:

  •  Identify and action potential risks in our business and supply chains.
  •  Monitor potential risks in our business and supply chains
  •  Reduce the risk of slavery and human trafficking occurring in our business and supply chains.
  •  Provide protection for whistleblowers.


Risk and compliance
We have evaluated the nature and extent of our exposure to the risk of slavery and human trafficking occurring in our UK supply chain through:

  •  Evaluating the slavery and human trafficking risks of each new supplier.
  •  Reviewing on a regular basis all aspects of the supply chain based on supply chain mapping.


We do not consider that we operate in a high-risk environment because the majority of our Supply chain is based in the UK and in low-risk industries.

Effectiveness
We use Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure our effectiveness and ensure that slavery and human trafficking is not taking place in our business and supply chains. These KPIs are as follows:

  • We will contact suppliers to inquire about their modern slavery practices every 12 months.
  •  We will train our staff about modern slavery issues and increase awareness.
  •  We will carry out a regular audit of suppliers - 100% of suppliers each year.
